「生き残りをかけた建設テック」って何よ。シリーズ（１〜４）

ダックビルは建設テック技術を開発・施工（運用）している会社です。で、私はそこのCEOです。たまには本業の話も書いてみようかな、と思ったんだけれど…本業の話ってディープな話になるから書くの難しいもんだな…。

実は建設テックって、１口に言いますけれどすっごく範囲が広いんです。あんまり幅広いから（4）つのシリーズ（調査、設計、施工、管理）に分けて建設テックの内容をコツコツ説明していこうと思います。今回は難しい専門用語も多いかも…ごめんなさい。

（２：設計）　BIM、MR（デジタルツイン）、スマートマテリアル
（３：施工）　ロボティクス（RX）、デジタイズ、遠隔臨場、モジュール施工

ほんとに多いな…。　まぁ、それだけ学べるチャンスも多いということでw

前にも（ガンダム世代が就職したくなる職種）書いたんだけれど、建設業界ってこれから深刻な人手不足に陥ります。建設業界だけじゃないんだろうけれど…

なんとかAI（人工知能）やDX（デジタルによる変革・変容）RX（ロボットによる変革・変容）技術などを活用して労働力不足を補うことに成功しないと、これからの日本企業は生き抜くことができない。逆にいうとAIやDX・RXの活用に成功してディスラプション（破壊的イノベーション）できた企業に人は集まってくるんでしょうね。

10年後には優勝劣敗が見えて、合従連衡（M&A）が大きく進む。そしてAI時代に選ばれて勝ち残った建設会社はトランスフォーム（企業や職種が形態変化すること）して「賢設業（施工方法の変化）」とか「兼設業（働き方の変化）」なんて呼ばれるようになっていくんだろうな、って思う。

すごく取り組む課題が大きいからこそ、こんなエキサイティングな業界は他にないんじゃないかな。

What on earth is “Construction Tech for Survival”? (Series #1–4)

Duckbill is a company that develops and implements (operates) construction tech solutions. I’m the CEO there. I thought I’d try writing about our core business every once in a while, but it’s tough to tackle—it gets pretty deep…

Actually, “construction tech” is an extremely broad field. It’s so broad, in fact, that I’ve split it into four series to explain bit by bit. I’m sorry in advance if I end up using a lot of complicated jargon this time around.

Investigation: Drones, AI-based deterioration diagnosis (repair work)
Design: BIM, MR (digital twins), smart materials
Execution: Robotics (RX), digitization, remote presence, modular construction
Management: IoT sensing, subscription models, D2C, AI-RDB
It really is a lot, isn’t it? On the other hand, that means there are a lot of opportunities to learn. (I promise I’ll go into more detail on these tricky terms next time!)

As I’ve mentioned before (like in my post about “jobs the Gundam generation would love”), the construction industry is heading for a serious labor shortage. It’s not just construction, though…

If we fail to use AI (artificial intelligence), DX (digital transformation), and RX (robotic transformation) to address the labor shortage, Japanese companies simply won’t survive going forward.

Conversely, I think the companies that successfully adopt AI, DX, and RX will attract the workforce they need.

In about ten years, we’ll see a clear divide between winners and losers, and we’ll witness a wave of M&As. By then, the construction companies that come out on top in the AI era will have transformed into entirely new business models—something like “Smart Construction” or “Combined Construction,” if you will.

It’s exciting—there’s really no other industry like this.
