これでもう3つ目だ…。度数も全く一緒な同じメガネ。もう、このメガネがないと困る。HUAWEIのEyewear（メガネ）には最新のIoT技術が駆使されていて、フレームにはスピーカーとマイクが搭載されています。
まず、1つは会社のPCと接続してあり、誰も気づかないうちにYouTubeを視聴していたり、ヘッドセットレスでテレビ会議を始めたりしています。
もう1つはスマホとペアリング済み。自転車に乗りながら音楽を聴いても大丈夫。メガネフレーム内蔵のスピーカーのおかげで耳はいつもフリー状態です。
外出時と帰宅時に、同じメガネを付け替えて使っています（笑）。
先日、アマゾンを開いたら、同じメガネがオススメに表示され、しかも半額に。もう、いらないのにまた買っちゃいました…。アマゾンのIT力に感心する一方、HUAWEIのIoTメガネのすごさも実感。
そんな気持ちを抱きながら、レンズ交換指定店のOWNDAYSへ向かいました。そこで、同じ度数のレンズを注文。しかし、視力検査は必須とのこと。
「そこに10分座って待ってください」と告げられたものの、店員さんは近くでレンズを拭いているだけ…。
思わず「えっ、すぐ測ればいいじゃん」と心の中でつぶやいてしまいました。すると、ふと前のモニターに人が映り、「お待たせしました！」と声がかけられました。「えぇっ！」と驚いた私。
なんと、遠隔で機械を操作し、テレビ会議形式で視力検査を実施するシステムだったんです。測定のスムーズさには本当に感動しました。これなら人手不足解消にも、価格競争力の向上にも繋がると実感しました。
メガネ作りにいってDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）の勉強すると思わなかったな…皆さんはこんな体験、ありますか？

“Vision Testing Goes Digital – A Story of Being Amazed at OWNDAYS”
This is already my third pair of the same glasses… I simply can’t do without them! HUAWEI’s Eyewear, a pair of glasses that harnesses the latest IoT technology, comes with built-in speakers and a microphone in the frame—even though the prescription is exactly the same, I somehow ended up owning three pairs.
First, one pair is connected to my work PC. It lets me watch YouTube without anyone noticing, and I can even start a conference call without needing a headset.
Another pair is paired with my smartphone. I can listen to music while riding my bike without any issues, thanks to the speakers embedded in the frame that keep my ears free at all times.
I switch between these glasses when I head out and when I return (laughs).
The other day, I opened Amazon and found that the same glasses were recommended—and at half price. Even though I didn’t really need another pair, I ended up buying them again. While I’m impressed by Amazon’s IT prowess, I’m equally in awe of the amazing capabilities of HUAWEI’s IoT glasses.
With that in mind, I headed to an authorized lens replacement store, OWNDAYS, to order lenses with the same prescription. However, I was told that a vision test was mandatory.
They said, “Please have a seat for 10 minutes,” but the staff member was just wiping lenses nearby…
I couldn’t help but think, “Hey, why not just measure it right away?” Although I didn’t have the nerve to say it out loud, I was a bit annoyed. Then, suddenly, a person appeared on the monitor in front of me and said, “Thank you for waiting!” I was utterly shocked and exclaimed, “What?!”
It turned out they were operating the machine remotely and conducting the vision test via a video conference system. I was truly impressed by how smoothly the test was performed. I realized that such a system could help alleviate labor shortages and boost price competitiveness.
I never expected to learn about digital transformation (DX) by getting my glasses made… Have you ever had an experience like this?
